MediaWiki problems

Reported by: acadiapinecone Owned by:

I first tried adding the MediaWiki feature to my project, but this resulted in a URL like:

Which had a SourceForge header and footer attached to the wiki, which resulted in incorrect formatting of the wiki, making it too unsightly to use.

I then followed instructions from here:

So that I could access the wiki from this URL:

That seemed to work well, but now when I try to edit any page or settings through the wiki interface, it complains about an invalid session. Specifically:

"Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in."

Please help!

Please be aware that while it may be possible to run MediaWiki in the project web space, doing so is not supported.

Having skimmed the instructions that the MediaWiki site provides for doing so, they appear to be correct. Please make sure that you have followed their instructions, especially this step, which appears to relate to the error you're seeing: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Running_MediaWiki_on_Sourceforge.net#Create_a_symbolic_link_for_sessions . Please be sure to see our documentation on the project web space as well.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to open a new ticket.
