git clone fails to clone the linux-kernel repo

Hello again Bill,

Okay, I have inquired with the team here. In the end, the shell, as it is, is not intended for this sort of work. We have limited resources there for the facility to allow for utility work, but not for "real" work like this.

A clone of the git repository should be done on your local network / system, then uploaded to our repositories.
