GTUPNB - what does this mean?

I am a long time user of PasswordSafe? and just upgraded to version 3.17. I notice, under the Menu Toolbar, a series of colored block-format letters - G T U P N B - and wonder what these varied-color letters mean. The larg-font letters (about the same size as an entry in the Menu Toolbar) are not linked to anything, nor does passing the mouse over them result in a display of any kind. Can you tell me - what is the significance of these letters?
