All instructions how to install mediawiki on sf.net are outdated, about deprecated hosted apps or migrating from hosted apps.

We chatted a bit about this in IRC, but to be clear, we're going to be testing some installs once the system fully supports the newest versions.

Once it's marked as Completed, I recommend that you follow the MediaWiki migration docs and just ignore any part that refers to backing up and importing new data. Since a regular install will be part of that process, it should cover all those bases.
