sf.net beta bugs gives server error 500 for new bugs and bug is lost

Reported by: jmichae3 Owned by: ctsai
Keywords: PEND Cc:
Private: no

Description

sf.net beta project winkitchentimer: when entering a new bug in "bugs", I get server error 500 and the bug I entered in the form is lost. I suppose this is downtime. I didn't get any notification that there would be downtime. I know downtime is good, let me know when things are up again and things are fixed.

Hello,

Is this a reproducible 500 error? If so, can you provide some steps to reproduce this? Perhaps the text of the ticket?

If it was result of some downtime, it likely wasn't planned downtime. Planned downtime would be noted on our Site Status page, and usually on @sfnet_ops as well.

1.make new bug in https://sourceforge.net/p/winkitchentimer/bugs/ a sf.net beta project
2.fill in owner as jmichae3, fill in title, put something in the big textbox. save.
3.at https://sourceforge.net/p/winkitchentimer/bugs/save_ticket you get the message Error 500 We're sorry but we weren't able to process this request.
4.put https://sourceforge.net/p/winkitchentimer/bugs in address bar, you will see the bug that it errored about.
5.click the bug you just created.
6.click Edit
7.change status to Closed, put "fixed" in lowest big textbox, click save.
8.at https://sourceforge.net/p/winkitchentimer/bugs/3/update_ticket_from_widget you get the error Error 500 We're sorry but we weren't able to process this request.
9.put https://sourceforge.net/p/winkitchentimer/bugs in address bar, you will see the bug that it errored about is now not listed anymore, you have successfully closed it.

yes, it's reproducible.

by the way, I don't care if you add bogus bugs to this project as long as you eventually close them out.

If you need me to add you as a developer to do the testing, let me know and I will fix you up.
