change-password link fails in separate tab

Description

in Firefox 3.6.17 I open the "change-password" link from the "Account" page in a new tab with middle-click.
In this new tab no JavaScript is active, the functionality is totally broken.
However, when I open the link with left-click within the same parent frame as "Account", then all works correctly (old PW and new PW match verification).

We are going to be doing a complete rewrite of the Account pages, this issue is not going to be handled individually before then, and this is not likely to still be an issue with the new design. As such, I'm closing this as "wontfix".
