Description

Hello,

Recent CVS outage speed up our long time ago decision to move Bochs project from CVS to SVN.

Do you have a FAQ of what should be done for smooth transition w/o losing any CVS history information we have ?
What is the best known way to handle everything including website CVS brosing service we have ?

Thanks
Stanislav

Hello,

First you want to obtain a dump of your CVS repository, the best way to do that at this time is via rsync.

Once you have your dump, use the SVN adminrepo tool along with cvs2svn to convert and import your repository. See the applicable section in that adminrepo doc I linked to.

Let me know if you need additional help.
