facility to check version

Hi

It is useful to offer to users a way to check that they have the last available release.

I have already programmed this, for an application not hosted by SourceForge, with a small PHP script called by the executable, receiving the current executable version, comparing with the last one, and displaying an appropriate message with a link to download the last version.

Is there any possibilty to host this facility in SourceForge project site, to avoid using another one, to keep everything in the same site ?
