OGSA-DAI Ideas

Overview

We have over the years designed and developed a number of components for OGSA-DAI. Some of these have never been implemented, others have been implemented but not been ported to OGSA-DAI 3.0+. We include a list of these components below and what we have available. You are welcome to contact us if interested - they may prove an interesting starting point for OGSA-DAI 3.0+ investigations. Though we do warn that OGSA-DAI has evolved signficantly over the years.

Server management

Notes on JMX management of an OGSA-DAI server.

A GUI execution monitor by Matthew Hambley and Adrian Mouat. This uses server-side monitoring activities to transmit events to a client visualiser.

Activities

Design and code for an activity to run an XPath query over a Binary XML (BinX) file. Work on binary XML by former OGSA-DAI team member Martin Westhead and others inspired and motivated GGF/OGF activity on DFDL (Data Format Description Language). A number of documents may be of interest:
