An SQL Server request complains about a static cursor cache
A user using the ExtractTableSchema activity with Microsoft SQL Server saw the following error in their server-side logs:
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC] Error setting up static cursor cache.
This is not an OGSA-DAI problem but can sometimes be thrown from within the SQL Server driver. SQL Server's driver uses a temporary files directory to store information. Usually this would be a directory like /tmp but if running in Tomcat (like OGSA-DAI) it will use $CATALINA_HOME/temp.
So if you encounter this problem check that Tomcat has a $CATALINA_HOME/temp directory, and to create one if it doesn't. If there is one, check that the user who is running Tomcat has read and write permissions in this directory - this is especially relevant if the user who deployed Tomcat is not the user who runs it.
