Maltcms is a JAVA API for preprocessing, alignment, analysis and visualization of data stored in open file formats used in Proteomics and Metabolomics research.

Maltcms 1.2.0 released on April 20th 2012
Maltcms 1.2.0 has seen a number of changes:
- Reworking of the TICPeakFinder for improved baseline and SNR estimation leading to better and more consistent integration results.
- New Savitzky-Golay filter for local polynomial smoothing.
- ANDIChromImporter now remaps to ANDI-MS for easier compatibility with existing commands.
- Added peak normalization and export facilities for aligned peaks and their areas.
- Parallelized PeakCliqueAlignment? similarity calculations.
- Reorganized CWT-based peak finding classes.
Known Issues:
- (From 1.1) Xml io providers (except for mzML) may be rather slow on access, this will be fixed in one of the next releases.
Maltcms 1.1 released on February 10th 2012
Maltcms 1.1.0 has seen a large number of changes:
- Changed configuration system from property files to Spring XML Bean definition format for improved and easier and more flexible exchange/configuration of components.
- Integration of the MPAXS parallelization framework for much simpler parallelization with automatic task synchronization.
- Improvements on running time and space usage of the alignment algorithms.
- New Wavelet-based peak finding algorithm for GCxGC-MS data.
- Improved TIC-based peak finding algorithm for GC-MS data (and general one-dimensional trajectory data).
- Refactorings and cleanup in various areas to reduce interdependencies of modules.
- Integration of the Groovy scripting language
Known Issues:
- xml io providers (except for mzML) may be rather slow on access, this will be fixed in one of the next releases
Maltcms 1.0.2 released on October 26th 2010
Release Notes:
- Changed build system to Maven 2. Access to maven repository can be requested by contacting the project owner.
- Fixed a bug in the pipeline wizard component, when loading anchor files.
- Fixed a bug when transforming workflow.xml to html.
- Note: due to changes in the internal pipeline format, pipelines defined with the pipeline wizard may behave differently than expected. Please see this howto for an introduction to the new format.
