How to report bugs

Bugs must be reported on the launchpad bug tracker. Reports sent using blog comments and personal emails are easily lost, register on Launchpad to report a bug takes very little time and helps this project way more than you may imagine.

When reporting a bug/crash be sure to include the following information

• Site where the issue shows itself
• Offending SWF clip, if known
• The lightspark version your using, with revision if compiling from git source or the origin of the used packages.
• Distro version
• CPU (32/64) bit
• Video card/Video driver used

If lightspark crashes the most useful piece of information is a gdb backtrace, see the GettingBT page for more information. On modern browser a crash in lightspark will be shown as an error message where the plugin content should be
