To generate a source package just run 'make package_source' in the build directory of CMake.
A binary package including all data can be build with 'make package' or 'cpack' in the build directory of CMake. This requires variables like GAE_DATA_DIR are set correctly. Better create a new build directory for making packages. 'cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..'
CPack can also generate RPM and DEB packages. They include also all data. Be aware that this is not really tested and RPM will likely fail because of an issue in CPack: http://www.itk.org/Bug/view.php?id=10345 Use 'cpack -G RPM' or 'cpack -G DEB' to build these packages.
to generate an installer:
- requires NSIS: http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page
- generate VC project with CMake. GAE_DATA_DIR has to be set to ./share/glestae/, otherwise the menu link won't work.
- build the Release Configuration in Visual Studio
- build the subproject PACKAGE which runs CPack+NSIS to generate the Windows Installer. Takes quite some time. The installer is then located in the build folder.
