Target OSes

New Libraries and Utilities

The following new utilities and libraries are proposed for the release:

  • as: an assembler.
  • ld: a program linker.

Planned Deprecation/Obsolesence

No APIs or utilities are proposed for deprecation or deletion in this release.

Release criteria

  • Builds on each target OS.
  • Documentation is ready for every tool and each public API.
  • Automated tests for APIs and tools.
    • For libraries: 60% or more code coverage.
    • For tools: common usage patterns would have tests.
