dbSend makes it easier for schools and lea's to upload data to Capita. You'll no longer have to manually backup, compress, encrypt the database then SFTP it.
dbSend is designed to replace dbUpload. dbUpload was created by Dan Clarke at Capita to send the school’s SIMS database off to Capita for problem resolution when the problem meant that Capita requires your database, this is normally so they can create a patch. Dan Clarke has since moved on from Capita and Capita no longer supports it.
dbSend is completely written in C#, it is aimed to be a single .exe with no external DLLs required. It’s designed to be simple and easy to use so that any normal SIMS user could use it without any technical knowledge whilst meeting Capita, BECTA, Local LA, Government and other recommendations on securely transmitting sensitive data across the public domain.

dbSend is completely free and is now licensed under GNU General Public License. It is created by Matt Smith. dbSend is digitally signed and the code signed, the final product is also timestamped.
