Welcome to the ARDev project: an AR toolkit for developers.
ARDev is a augmented reality toolkit. It was originally written to visualize robot data, but its design supports extension to almost any augmented reality task.
There are some screenshots as part of the source forge project (https://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=195804) more shots in a proper gallery are coming.
Downloads are available from the SourceForge? project page (https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=195804)
Documentation for the library has been uploaded, again available at http://ardev.sourceforge.net/docs/
The robotics related work with the toolkit has been presented at two conferences:
2006, May - ICRA 2006, Augmented Reality Visualisation for Player, Toby Collett and Bruce MacDonald
2006, March - HRI 2006, Developer Oriented Visualisation of a Robot Program, Toby Collett and Bruce MacDonald
Also have a look at Augmented reality visualisation for mobile robot developers PhD thesis that describes the original work.
Finally, all of the robotics work for this project has used the PlayerProject (www.playerproject.org). Many thanks to the Player developers and check it out if you want a full features robot development toolkit.
