APLpy on Trac

You can browse the source code for APLpy here. We'll be posting tickets on things to improve and fix, so if you run into any errors check out the tickets page to see if we're working on it already. APLpy is under active development and many improvements are on the way for the first quarter of 2009.

Planned Features

Here is a list of features that we plan to implement in the near future:

• Ability to plot a scale bar to show angular or physical sizes
• Ability to plot an elliptical beam, for example for interferometric observations
• Ability to plot a compass to show the North and East directions
• Ability to plot a gray/colorscale wedge
• Ability to read in and plot positions from VO, FITS, IPAC, and ASCII tables

And in the more distant future:

• Integration with SAMP-enabled applications
