The Rules...

The rules here are pretty simple. Abusive, defamatory, or derogatory posts will be removed without notice or reason. Posts containing offensive material or referencing pirated or "cracked" material will also be removed without notice or reason. Repeated offenses will be dealt with through either a temporary or permanent ban, at the discretion of the administrator. We want everyone to enjoy their stay here, but misuse of the forums will not be tolerated.

Please don't bother telling other users what they can and can't do here, or what is appropriate and what isn't. Forum administrators and moderators will take care of that. If you have an issue with a post, report it through the provided report option. If you have a problem with a user that can't be resolved, PM an administrator or moderator. Please keep all personal arguments off the forum.

Please don't reply to a posted question with a "Use the search feature" type of answer. There is a "live document" FAQ in place in this board for commonly asked questions where people can find quick answers to some questions, but there are people who try to search and do not get the answer they're looking for. That's why they're asking. Yes, there are people who are just to lazy to search, but we'll assume our users aren't among them. If you don't have an answer for them, or can't provide a link to a relevant post, just let it go.

While good taste is something that could be considered subjective. Since we consider this a family site, there are a couple things that for our purposes would be considered in bad taste and should be avoided. Subjects that are sexually explicit or images that contain nudity or pornography or have the potential to generate other possible sexually visceral responses. Swearing and other foul language that other people may reasonably find offensive, especially if it is language you would not normally wish your children to hear or read. We ask that you keep in mind what one person may find funny or fine, other people may find offensive.

We would ask that when sharing information from other people or other sites that you be mindful of either an implied expectation of privacy and or any existing copyrights that may exists. Please do not paste articles from other sites here unless you have expressed written permission from the copyright holder. It is permissible to post a link, a small excerpt or paraphrase an article.

When posting an email that you have received from another individual or company we ask that you be mindful that there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. We do not wish to keep you from sharing any information that may be useful to the members so we ask that any names or titles that could be used to identify the sender be removed before posting. It is also recommended whenever possible that paraphrasing be used instead of just cutting and pasting.

Signatures are usually used to share additional information about a member or make a statement about the member. Members are encouraged to use this feature provided the content is not in poor taste. Signatures are allowed to feature links to other sites provided the site is not one of Pornographic, or explicit content. Signatures that contain advertisements are restricted to a single line and should be for something the member is personally associated with but not a site that could be considered directly competitive. If we find a signature is not acceptable we will ask that it be changed to conform to the guidelines above.

Advertisements posted in threads for commercial ventures will not be permitted. Any posts that appear to be an advertisement for a service, business, product or any other form of commercial venture (directly or indirectly) will be removed without notification at the discretion of the moderation staff. Sending SPAM or any other form of advertising through the email links to other users is NOT allowed. Violators may find their account locked.
