Is there anywhere that you wrote the keys that you can press during the race to change options?
It might be nice to have them as options on the options screen, for non-powerusers.

It's just that some people are used to downloading code and typing ./configure as a first step. An easy solution to this is to make a configure script, but have it only contain "Type 'make' to build Extreme Tux Racer."
The problem only occurs on the cup screen if the resolution is 800x600, but it gets much worse and shows up all over the place when I run it at 16:10 resolutions:
