EQAlign and QHY5 Camera

Trying to set up EQAlign, but it will not recognize my KWIQ Guider's QHY5 camera, which works fine with PHD. Thanks for any help.

Never mind. I was able to solve the problem by putting the appropriate driver in the EQAlign folder.

I'm sorry for the late response. Yes, for capturing QHY5, you must copy CMOSDLL.DLL library into EQAlign folder. We apologize for that, but we have not permision to include it into installer.

Orion SSAG is simply a QHY5 rebranded. The only difference is the VID/PID of the unit.

A open QHY5/orion SSAG camera driver has been developed using the latest firmware version from Tom Vanderee. You can find the source and firmware at:

http://code.google.com/p/linux-astro/

The only trick is modify the VID/PID request of driver (on windows, editing the .inf description file with the Orion SSAG ones; on Linux editing the udev definition).

Should be a good idea to make EqAlign work with Indi drivers. Is far more consistent than ASCOM, and is open source and is fully documented, so you can easily create new drivers as needed.
