ASSP service restarting

I am running 2.2.1(12313) on win2k8 and have noticed that the assp service is crashing. I have it set to restart after the first failure and then notify me via email for the second failure. I have not gotten an email, meaning it crashes and restarts itself and is fine.

This seemed to have started happening just last week, as before this I had assp uptime in the 2-3 week range.

I remember on v1 an issue with some oddly formatted emails that would cause it to crash, could this be the same thing? How can I provide more information to find out what is going on?
