ASSP can't access to the web admin with the default password

Hi!
Install the ASSP accordingly the manual:
1. Unpack gz archive
2. Run perl assp.pl
When I did this firstly, I can login to the web admin from local host but later I did remove installation and reinstall it. After this steps I can't login to the web admin with the default password. Why?
PS. I'm upgrade the assp.pl as was prompted when the command "perl assp.pl" was running

use a backup of assp.cfg - or

-stop assp
-remove the lines

webAdminPassword:=....

and all the following lines:

from the assp.cfg file
this will reset the password for root to nospam4me and all the secret config parameters to there default value

Did you use "root" as name?

Yes, I run it by using sudo
Every time I run assp with the new/changed config file it restore it from somewhere (I didn't know from where) so any changes are lost.
Where assp keep the changes?

assp uses only the assp.cfg for the config settings.

- never change the V2 assp.cfg outside the assp GUI with an editor, as long as you don't know the consequences.
V2 requires the user name 'root' and the password for the GUI login!

Why I must find the answer on the forum instead of the howto?

Who can read has clearly an advantage.

from the V2 Install.txt

....
After you have started assp use the webadmin to change the settings to this files: login as user root with your old password
On a new installation the password for user root is nospam4me.
....

Should I change postfix's listen port to 26 for properly work assp?

This depend on your network setup. There could be only one listener a specific IP:port.
So, if assp and postfix are binding to the same IP, they have to use different port.

its crazy guys. im in shock. after clear in chrome all users data (coockies) i forgot password. clear password in cfg not result. after 2 hours of search i register in this forum and found answer - root and clear ALL passwords line in cfg.
