By nature an ERP is very difficult to get attention from the end user. It we talk specifically about Adempiere it is even more difficult. I am afraid that Adempiere looks like a project for implementators and developers, not so friendly for the final user.
We have very clear what a developer and what an implementor are.
I suppose "End-Users" is a wider category - there could be many type.
There are users that type documents on adempiere. There are users that extract and analyze information from adempiere. There are users that receive analyzed information from adempiere (i.e. Managers) There are external (customers/vendors) possibly using webstore.
Or seen other way - in every installation we have those lazy end users - and those advantaged end users. What could advantaged end users want from a forum?
Potential end user here... Better documentation is key - I think the Wiki needs better structure and more importantly, the content all needs to specify what version it applies to. Often we found ourselves looking at screenshots that didn't match our test install.
PS: phpbb is a huge improvment - I only recently found how to search forums on SF (oddly under the tracker header???)
I think this form is great, and am willing to help out if needed. To assist in getting more end users registered, I will post a message on my blog, which deals with open source accounting and ERP systems. Hopefully, some people will see it and register. http://fblauer.com/wordpress/
