It's possible to connect to specific channels automatically in most IRC clients. In Colloquy, to set automatic channels, you click "Info" button in "Connections" window. If you can't find "Info" button by the narrow window, you can select "Get Info" to do the same thing from the context menu (click right button of your mouse on the "irc.free.node" row.)

After then, click the "Automatic" tab, click "+" button and input "##xoopscube" in "Join Rooms". You may choose "Connect on lunch".
