For those of you who would like to try the most up to date features, a development version of sconcho-0.2 is now available. This version has many new features including full internationalization support and is also significantly faster and hopefully more stable. Please give it a try and let us know about any problems.

Download

Linux and Windows users should download the zipped python source.

Mac-OSX 10.6/10.8 users should download the Sconcho.app instead

  • Sorry, the app is currently not working properly and we are trying to fix it.

Installation Instructions

In contrast to the previous 0.1.1 version, sconcho-0.2 uses python3 so Linux and Windows users need to install Python3 and the corresponding PyQt4 version before they can use sconcho-0.2.

Linux Users

Most Linux distributions should have python3 and the respective PyQt4 packages available. Installation should thus hopefully be fairly straightforward.

Windows Users

Please first install python3 and PyQt4 which are required by sconcho:

Please make sure that your PyQt version matches the python version you installed.

Then, download sconcho from the link above (e.g. to your Desktop) and unzip the file by right clicking on the icon and then selecting Extract All from the menu. A sconcho folder should then appear. Next, simply go into the extracted sconcho folder and click on the sconcho.pyw file and sconcho should start up.

Mac-OSX Users

Mac-OSX 10.8 can install the provided Sconcho.app by simply double clicking on the image file to unpack it and then dragging the Sconcho icon into their Applications folder.
