Building a Live CD from Scratch

The Redo Backup and Recovery Live CD is now based upon Ubuntu. This means that you can very easily follow the developer's guide below to download the components you need, and construct the live CD ISO on your own machine. The Ubuntu requirements are downloaded using debootstrap and the packages are added with apt-get, with an emphasis on keeping things as close as possible to the distro defaults in order to make future upgrades less difficult.
