Suzhou, China, hosted the next RoboCup competitions, that occured from July 14 to 20.
There were plenty of news:
- Official competition;
- new and bigger robots (this time teams had to buy them);
- new rechargers, new programmer board, new infra-red system;
- modularized software:
- Vision Tracking;
- Graphics;
- Robot Control;
- Operator;
- Application.
- New communication protocol.
Thirteen teams applied for competitions. Nine attended:

But things weren't easy – it was the very first time that all these new features were being tested toghether, and everybody had to work really hard so the competitions could take place. Again we had: Soccer Tournament, Developments and New Applications presentations. But we weren't able to use the new soccer server, nor to use more bots per team. So we had 2 vs. 2 matches, with new bots.
The winners were
- WF Wolves;
- Koblenz;
- UI-AI.
We had a picture taken after the competitions. We were all exhausted, but it was nice! If anyone still have that one, please share it.
