Capitalism vs Communism
The old debate of Capitalism vs. Communism is misguided and really represents a tension that naturally occurs in order to preserve the important ideals of each.
No one can deny that a society has a need for both the individual as well as the group. These are two fundamental emergent constructs within awareness. One has to allow and plan for both. They represent two different ideals that, through their principal components, create separate axiis. Capitalism represents the vertical growth axiis, while Communism represents the horizontal. Since they must remain independent and distinct they will always be in tension to some degree until a unifying force allows them to work together. PanGaia is designed to be the catalyst that does just that.
- Capitalism: the right to exclude ==> creates the individual
- Communism: the right to include ==> creates community
The problem is when one gets out of balance with the other. The Internet is the only technology that has become available to reduce the risk of corruption that inevitably occurs when these two domains reach their extremes. The internet provides an awareness of the "State of the Nation" so that decision-makers aren't faced with the unenviable position of having to look competent amidst a complex system that would otherwise be impossible to manage.
