Google accepts PaGMO in GSoC 2010!
The European Space Agency's Advanced Concepts Team has been accepted as mentoring organization in the Google Summer of Code. The following projects are supported and funded by Google. The projects selected are:
|Interplanetary trajectory 3D graphics (3DTrajectories)||Edgar Simo||Chit-Hong Yam, Dario Izzo|
|ALife on Asteroids (ALife)||John Glover||Eduardo Martin Moraud, Dario Izzo|
|Implementation of bio-inspired state of the art meta-heuristic algorithms (Meta)||Andrea Mambrini||Dario Izzo, Francesco Biscani|
|Massively Parallel Islands (MPI)||Dante Stroe||Francesco Biscani, Juxi Leitner|
Due to the overwhelming amount of applications we chose to also accept other students and their projects. These will follow the same timeline as the GSoC but will not be financially supported by Google, but that also means we do not have to follow Google procedures exactly, so it is possible for a project to be pursued by more than one person. Additionally, we might be able to get a tshirt from Google also for the extra projects, but in case this does not happen we commit to provide an even cooler "ESA Summer of Code" (ESoC or just simple SoC) tshirt for the participants :) The projects and students are:
|CUDA Massively Parallel Trajectory Evolution (CUDA)||Kashif Kaleem||Juxi Leitner, Francesco Biscani|
|GO Test Sets||tbc||tbc|
