How I can contribute to JStock development work?
We are looking for people with the following skill.
- Translator - Since 1.0.5m release, JStock is able to display Chinese. In the next few coming release, we are planning to support other languages as well. Hence, work is required to translate current web site and software content into other language. At current moment, we only support English and Simplified Chinese.
- Programmer! Programmer! Programmer! - Yes. We need people who can write code which will *REALLY* work. Do you see a bunch of Bugs and Feature Requests? Here is chance for you to write software which will *REALLY* used by others.
- Graphics design and web page design - Publicity is an important factor in determine the success of an open source project. A good looking graphics and web page, will capture eye of potential users.
- Content writer - Ah. If you go to our help page http://jstock.sourceforge.net/help.html, you will realize the content is not well written. Spelling mistake? Grammar mistake? Hey! I am not English language native speaker. Hence, we need someone who is good in English.
- Someone who know how to do marketing - I heard that professional marketing executive can increase your website visitors by the factor of 100x :O I never hire a SEO. Hence, I do not know whether this is true. But, if you know how can we increase our JStock user base, we would like to talk to you.
- Packager for Linux and Mac - We need Debian Package for Ubuntu, and DMG File for Mac.

- Your changes will be seen in next few release of JStock.
- After you had gone through several loops of submitting significant patches, and make us feel confident on your skill set and morale, you will be given Mercurial write access. You will be honored as Programmer. Your name will appear within JStock software and web site.
- "How long only I will be given write access?", you asked. I would say, it depends on the quality of your submitted code, and your communication.
