Word Document Generation and Attachment

Overview

IBD handles documents in the Word 2007 format, which is one of the Office Open XML formats. The Office Open XML format is used for the following documents:

  • The template documents (e.g. word-en.docx or word-es.docx).
  • The document generated by IBD when using the Create button at the bottom of the form.
  • The document attached for the Terms of Reference fields.

To create and open those documents, you will need to be using either:

  • Word 2007 on Windows, Word 2008 on Mac OS X, or later versions.
  • Word 2000, Word XP, and Word 2003 users with the free Microsoft Compatibility Pack installed.

Limitations

  • Images are not supported in documents you attach to the Terms of Reference field. If you attach a document which contains images, the part of the document that contains those images will be ignored.
