Introduction

Students can be added in several ways: using the STUDENTS menu, using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+A, or via the popup menu displayed when right-clicking the students name column of the main window. After choosing to add students, the Add Student dialog will appear (see below).

Student Name

As mentioned in the form, it is recommended that users enter students names using LAST, FIRST format, which is useful for sorting.

Textbook Information

When the user enters a textbook number, the remaining entry boxes will be activated so that the information about the book can be entered.

Add/Next

Choosing this button will update the current student information and then reset the form so that another student can be added.

Add/Close

Choosing this button will update the current student information and then close the form, returning the program to the main window.

Dropping Students

GradeL allows teachers to drop students, maintaining their information without actually deleting anything. In fact dropped students can even be "undropped" via STUDENTS | LIST DROPPED from the menu, which displays the Dropped Students List form pictured below.

How to Drop a Student

To drop a student, either right-click on the student's name in the spreadsheet or choose STUDENTS | DROP from the menu.
