Catalog Connector

The program basis were developed by the IDEC’s S.C., within the IdeUnivers Project.

IdeUnivers is an European project within the Interreg IIIB MEDOCC Project, Which’s Target is the creation of a Thematic Spatial Data Infrastructure within the University environment.

It is a Client Application developed in Java which allows sending simultaneous requests to several metadata catalogs, if they implement some of the Catalog Service for the Web OGC's CSW(ebRim e ISO 19115/19119) profiles for catalog, and processing the responses in a unitary way.

At this moment it supports a large number of profiles and it’s feasible to make requests to catalogs based in products as Catogc_Server, con terra, Deegree, ESRI GPT, eXcat, GeoMedia, GeoNetwork, Indicio and InGrid^® but it’s possible to easily extend the support to other kinds of products.

CatalogConnector should make possible asking and discovering geospatial information about Catalonia, described in other metadata catalogues of local, state and/or European order.
