It is nice to know how often a project is checked out anonymously
Written by milyng the 14 Feb 11 at 14:23. Global category: SourceForge 2.0 Beta. New
I'd like to know how often my project, which has not released any files, is checked out (cloned) if ever. I suspect nobody has ever bothered to clone my project, but I'd like to know for sure. And I guess others out there might learn interesting things if they could add up the number of downloads and the number of checkouts to see how often their project was retrieved from SourceForge.

Solution #1: Add checkout statistics to the Git/etc. pages in SF v2.0.

I guess SF can see how often a project is cloned/checked out and I'd make that information available on the Git/etc. status page (the one that has the Branch button and shows the number of branches.
