I have generated a technical check of the JSBsim Atmosphere model compared to the Government Joint Mil Spec 3013. I am retired NAVAIR and worked on the Joint Mil Spec.
Like to know if there is any interest in making JSBsim conform to the Mil Spec?

Have known about JSBSim for a while but now we have an application that can use it: weapon simulation. We need to simulate the flight patterns of a few weapons types such as hellfire missiles and GBU "smart bombs".

interested in using your tool to model the flight dynamics of an RC airplane to use with ardupilot UAV hardware and software.

Congratulations!! very nice work!!

i wish to know; if i put the wing in vertical position the wind makes the same effect on it like in real;
or like in xplane if i put a verical wing the effect is like the plane is just turning.
Kind regards

I have been a fan of the OpenGL SuperBible for years. I switched from Windows to Linux forever. So, I followed the book's website to FlightGear and then to JSBSim. I am amazed at JSBSim and intend to really study your code and FlightGear as well.

Hi I see many references to this software in flight simulation but am unable to get info about if it is able to represent a full range of atmospheric forces to act upon a gliding flight model. Specificly,Dynamic Weather, Ridge lift,Wave & thermals.

I do hobby programming for an old BAC-11 simulator used for instrument training. We wanted to replace the FDM (currently written in PDP-11 assembly) with a more configurable FDM. So I implemented using JSBSim and wrote the IO exchange software.
